Ford Introduces European EcoSport Mini SUV at the Geneva Motor Show

After Nissan’s success with the funky Juke, the mini crossover niche has become the place to be for mainstream manufacturers. Ford has already displayed its own contender, named the EcoSport, a year ago but its official launch in Europe took place at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Built around Ford’s B-segment, i.e. Fiesta, global platform, the EcoSport will be available in European markets with three powerplants. The gasoline units are a 109HP (110PS) 1.5-liter normally aspirated four-cylinder and the acclaimed 123HP (125PS) 1.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged unit, while the sole diesel option is a 89HP (90PS) 1.5-liter that, according to Ford, will deliver “class-leading” fuel efficiency.

“The all-new Ford EcoSport for Europe is extremely economical, flexible and stylish and will, alongside the new B-MAX compact multi-activity vehicle, the best-selling Fiesta and all-new Tourneo Courier – complete a comprehensive small car line-up for Europe”, said Nick FitzGerald, chief programm engineer for the EcoSport.

The EcoSport, which was developed entirely in South America, will join the Kuga in Ford’s European SUV line-up and will be followed by the next-generation Edge and the seven-seat Explorer, which will be manufactured in Russia starting later this year.

The EcoSport will be equipped with Ford SYNC voice-activated in-car connectivity system as well as SYNC Emergency Assistance. In addition, the compact SUV will be one of the first Ford vehicles in Europe to offer Ford SYNC AppLink, which enables customers to voice-control smartphone apps from the driver's seat.

"We are entering the age of the connected car and debuting EcoSport at Mobile World Congress underlines just how important advanced vehicle technology is to customers and to Ford," said Paul Mascarenas, Ford chief technical officer and vice president, Research and Innovation.

The Ford EcoSport will be the second SUV to be launched in Ford's expanding European range when it goes on sale in 2013; following the Ford Kuga. Ford also plans to bring to Europe the next generation Ford Edge, a larger and more premium utility vehicle popular in the U.S. and other markets.

Built on Ford's global B-segment platform, the compact EcoSport will deliver the agility and fuel efficiency of a small family car with the flexibility, spaciousness, high driving position, and "go anywhere" appeal of an SUV.

"The role of the car is evolving," said Mascarenas. "Customers want to be able to safely enjoy the same level of connectivity in their cars as they would do at home, and SYNC AppLink enables then to do just that. By maximising the potential of apps, Ford can offer customers a class-leading range of smartphone app capabilities while on the move."

Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance directly connects the vehicle occupants to local emergency services operators after an accident, in the correct language for the region using information from the vehicle's on-board GPS unit, and mobile network to pinpoint accident location and choose the appropriate language in which to deliver an introductory message.

The all-new Ford EcoSport will be offered with Ford's innovative 125 PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, the "International Engine of the Year," a 110 PS 1.5-litre petrol engine; and a 90 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine expected to deliver class-leading fuel efficiency.

The SUV's distinctive front grille, short bonnet and raked front pillars, deliver a sporty and contemporary feel, and angular headlamps reinforce the modern look. It will also offer a comprehensive package of driver assistance technologies including Electronic Stability Program and Hill Launch Assist.

"Transit Connect Wagon gives young families and people on the go the fun-to-drive and efficient vehicle they've been looking for," said Mark Fields, Ford's President of The Americas. "It's an all-new, smaller seven-seater that has better mileage than larger vans and creates a segment of its own. Customers also will love the unique combination of style, adaptability and affordability this wagon brings."

Ford Transit Connect Wagon is offered in two wheelbase lengths, in five- and seven-passenger configurations, and in XL, XLT and Titanium series levels. No other wagon in the market today offers the convenience of fold-flat seating, at least a 1,200-pound payload and more than 100 cubic feet of cargo space.

When properly equipped, this versatile wagon is approved to tow up to 2,000 pounds, 500 pounds more than a four-cylinder Toyota Highlander SUV.

Have it your way
Ford Transit Connect Wagon offers customers a choice between two fuel-efficient four-cylinder engines - a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an optional 1.6-liter EcoBoost® that is estimated to deliver 30 mpg-plus on the highway. This powertrain makes Transit Connect Wagon the gas mileage leader among seven-passenger vehicles.

Both engines come mated to a convenient six-speed automatic transmission, geared for around-town responsiveness and low-rpm highway cruising.
Ford Transit Connect Wagon is available in a wide variety of configurations and series levels, offering unexpected features in a high-value package with low operating costs.

This stylish, contemporary design is offered in two wheelbase lengths, a choice of five- or seven-passenger seating arrangements, and offers meaningful options like a full-glass panoramic roof, rear view camera, 6.5-inch touch screen display with navigation, and SYNC® with MyFord Touch® - Ford's highly acclaimed voice-activated communications and entertainment system.

Ford Transit Connect Wagon's global design includes premium cues throughout such as available full body-color exterior accents with jewel-like chrome trim and high-gloss interior trim pieces. A range of seating surfaces, from luxurious leather, comfortable cloth and heavy-duty vinyl, is available to suit the specific needs of a wide variety of potential customers.

Commercial-strength DNA in a family versatility vehicle
Ford Transit Connect Wagon's work-hard/play-hard nature is reflected in cargo-carrying capacity and room for up to seven comfortably seated passengers, wrapped in a high-strength body engineered to rigorous global commercial vehicle durability standards.

The all-new Transit Connect Wagon builds on the foundation of reliability and durability established by the Transit Connect compact van. Introduced in North America in 2009, Transit Connect has become the must-have vehicle for small business proprietors, thanks to its unmatched combination of payload and cargo capacities, adaptability, fuel efficiency, maneuverability and overall ease of driving.

Ford Transit Connect was recognized as an innovative "white space" vehicle - literally carving out a new category in the market - by the automotive industry press corps when it was named North American Truck of the Year in January 2010 at the North American International Auto Show.

Now selling at a pace of 35,000 units per year, Transit Connect has become a favorite of small businesses, corporate fleets, taxi operators and a few individualistic owners who find its combination of a car-like ride and the cargo capacity of a van just right for their personal use.

"The all-new Transit Connect Wagon will expand the personal-use audience for this versatile nameplate by offering up to seven-passenger capacity across three rows of seating in a fully trimmed interior," said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford vice president of Global Engineering, Global Product Development. "It has an extensive selection of comfort, convenience and connectivity options, and a full complement of safety features - making it a modern, family-friendly alternative to oversized minivans."

All Ford Transit Connect Wagon models feature first-row frontal, pelvis and side airbags, with first-, second- and third-row side curtain airbags in long-wheelbase models. Short-wheelbase versions get first- and second-row side curtain airbags.

Ford's award-winning MyKey® programmable ignition key enables restricting maximum vehicle speed and audio system volume, bringing additional peace of mind to both parents and fleet administrators alike.

Ford Transit Connect Wagon even offers a child observation mirror so parents can keep track of children safely belted in second- and third-row seats.

Infinite adaptability
Inside, the Ford Transit Connect Wagon package is a rolling showcase for adaptability in hauling both people and cargo.

From its 60/40 three-passenger second-row bench seat through fold-flat second- and third-row seating with third-row independent fore-and-aft sliding capability, Transit Connect Wagon quickly adapts to accommodate multiple combinations of people and cargo.

Also available is an electric windshield defroster, making short work of icy windshields in wintry conditions and when parking Ford Transit Connect Wagon on the street.

The versatile Ford Transit Connect Wagon offers far better fuel efficiency than traditional minivans, compact-car-like maneuverability and handling, combined with unprecedented payload and cargo capabilities.

Ford Transit Connect Wagon is scheduled to appear in North American dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2013.

2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan

The new Ford Fiesta, which makes its debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, will redefine the small car with a projected best 40 mpg-plus fuel economy rating, an exciting new look, and special features and technology that make it the most fun-to-drive car of its size.

2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan
2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan

"Customers want cars that are expressive and fun while offering class-leading fuel economy," says Mark Fields, Ford president of The Americas. "Fiesta delivers all the excitement drivers are looking for in a car we believe will raise the bar even higher for small cars in North America.

2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan
2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan

"Our goal with this Fiesta was to take a car that was already a leader in fuel efficiency, performance, connectivity and personality, and make it even better," Fields adds.

Fuel efficiency and fun
The most dramatic and distinctive Ford Fiesta to date will deliver the best miles per gallon among its rivals, led by Ford's patented new 1.0-liter EcoBoost® engine. This landmark engine, already selected for both the Popular Mechanics 2012 Breakthrough Award and Engine Technology International's International Engine of the Year Award in Europe, is expected to deliver more than 40 mpg.

2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan
2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan

With that, Ford Fiesta is projected to be the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid subcompact in America, and stands as a shining example of Ford's commitment to provide consumers with the most fuel-efficient cars, SUVs and trucks.

2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan
2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan

While the diminutive size of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost saves cash at the pump, it doesn't hold anything back on the road. At 123 horsepower for each liter of engine displacement (the engine's size), the 1.0-liter EcoBoost delivers more power for its size than a Lamborghini Aventador (at 108 horsepower per liter).

EcoBoost is fundamental to Ford's strategy to provide technologically advanced, high-output, smaller-displacement powertrains that deliver uncompromised performance and fuel economy. EcoBoost engines deliver fuel economy gains of up to 20 percent and reduction of CO2 emissions of up to 15 percent, compared with larger, less-efficient engines. Ford's leadership with EcoBoost has resulted in more than 125 patents on the technology. Currently, more than 500,000 vehicles have this engine and by 2013 more than 1.3 million will have EcoBoost.

A triple threat of fuel-saving features - variable-displacement oil pumps, polished tappets and coded pistons - appears together for the first time in the 1.6-liter Ford Fiesta, giving drivers maximum miles per gallon without sacrificing driving fun.

Small is smart
In addition to its new EcoBoost engine, Ford Fiesta boasts a best-in-class suite of technologies and features that give drivers the perfect blend of a connected world and an untethered driving experience.

A new MyFord Touch® system with 6.5-inch touch screen that features enhanced voice control is now available, providing drivers more options than ever for navigation, communication and entertainment functions. Ford Fiesta still features SYNC® AppLink™ capabilities pioneered on the first Fiesta, which allows drivers to access and control Ford-approved smartphone apps with voice commands and vehicle controls while on the go, helping drivers keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Turn-by-turn navigation remains part of SYNC Services.

Ford's MyKey® is a new feature on Fiesta, which enables parents in particular to encourage safer driving and limit their teenagers' exposure to risk at the wheel. The system allows owners to configure maximum speed and audio volume limits. It also mutes audio until seat belts are fastened and ensures driver aids, safety systems and more vigorous alerts cannot be deactivated when used.

"This car was built for the digital generation," says John Schneider, Ford chief engineer, Upperbody Electronics. "With Bluetooth® connectivity and MP3 capabilities, tech-savvy people who use social media to be constantly connected with the world around them won't be slowed down when they get in this car.

"It has always been the belief at Ford that entry-level drivers deserve the best technology," Schneider adds. "We launched SYNC AppLink on Fiesta, and now transitioning to MyFord Touch with this new touch screen enables us to go further in our quest to give drivers the best in in-car electronics."

Built to excite the right-brain driver
Proving to be every bit as creative as its owner, the new Fiesta will offer custom exterior design graphics and sexy new color options. The redesigned exterior boasts a sporty new grille that reflects the new face of Ford.

Inside, things are just as expressive. The cell phone-inspired dashboard and available leather steering wheel and seats amplify the modern interior and entice drivers to get in the car and get on the move. A selection of ambient lighting options allows Ford Fiesta drivers to set just the mood they want. Also available is a new Sony HD audio/satellite radio with eight premium speakers for drivers to more fully appreciate their music.

Big on safety

This continues to be a small car that is big on safety. Ford Fiesta offers the following standard safety features:
  • AdvanceTrac® with Electronic Stability Control
  • Dual-stage first-row airbags
  • Driver knee airbag
  • Side-impact airbags
  • Side-curtain airbags
  • Four-wheel anti-lock braking system
  • LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children)
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System
  • Child-safety rear locks
  • Anti-theft engine immobilizer
  • Improved side-impact safety capabilities

2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Small cars continue to be a hot segment in North America and with the new Ford Fiesta ST, introduced at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, Ford is expected to have the hottest hatch around.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST
2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Ford Fiesta ST, a performance model first launched in Europe back in 2005, is yet another proof point from Ford that small cars are anything but boring. In addition to a precision sport-tuned suspension and an improved braking system, Ford Fiesta ST packs a punch under the hood.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST
2014 Ford Fiesta ST

A new high-output variant of the award-winning 1.6-liter EcoBoost® four-cylinder engine propels Ford Fiesta ST with an estimated 197 horsepower and 214 lb.-ft. of torque. In comparison, Mini Cooper S makes do with 181 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft., while Chevrolet Sonic RS produces just 138 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft.

Unlike the competition, Ford Fiesta ST doesn't simply look like a performance car; it's got the guts to back it up.

"This is a rewarding car to rev," says Mark Roberts, Fiesta calibration supervisor. "With 177 lb.- ft. of torque available from just 1,600 rpm and 214 lb.-ft. by 3,500 rpm, Ford Fiesta ST gives the performance and feel of an engine twice its size. There's no waiting at all for the power to just push you back in your seat."

2014 Ford Fiesta ST
2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Ford Fiesta ST may be born with racing DNA, but buyers won't have to pay for that performance at the pump. Available exclusively as a five-door hatchback in North America and with a six-speed manual transmission, Ford Fiesta ST is projected to achieve up to 34 mpg.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST
2014 Ford Fiesta ST

This compact performance machine sports a unique grille and chin spoiler with new rear diffuser and fascia extensions. Bright tipped dual-exhaust pipes and high-mount spoiler along with unique 17-inch wheels complete the visual package: Ford Fiesta ST looks like it's made for the racetrack. The car is first of its nameplate to receive the Molten Orange tri-coat metallic paint.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST
2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Ford Fiesta ST steering is more direct and responsive than the base model. A unique suspension with modified front knuckle makes for a quicker overall steering ratio of 13.6:1.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST
2014 Ford Fiesta ST

The rear axle gets increased roll stiffness to improve stability through fast corners, while the Ford Fiesta ST body sits 15 millimeters closer to the ground than the base model.

Increased mechanical grip provided by the suspension improvements is further enhanced with electronic Torque Vectoring Control to reduce understeer during hard cornering maneuvers. Three-mode electronic stability control - standard, sport or off - enables the ST driver to select the amount of electronic aid based on current conditions. Overall, Ford Fiesta ST provides enthusiastic drivers with the ideal mix of performance handling and ride comfort.

Ford Fiesta ST will also sound good on the open road. It features the mechanical version of the sound symposer first used on the Focus ST, which went on sale in North America in 2012, to provide an enhanced soundtrack for drivers out tackling the open road. It is unique for Fiesta in that for the first time the engine sound is directly fed into the passenger cabin to accentuate feedback quality and response.

Ford Fiesta ST is the result of the combined efforts of Team RS in Europe and SVT in the United States.

2013 Ford Transit Custom

Ford Transit Custom Cargo Van is perfect for you who often send goods between cities in your country, the Ford Transit Custom Cargo Van features a spacious interior, so that it can accommodate a lot of stuff.
Custom Tourneo passenger van to follow up shows earlier this year, Ford will introduce a new Custom Transit cargo van in Europe next week. Custom Transit makes its debut at the Birmingham Commercial Vehicles show in Britain, and went on sale in Europe later this year.

2013 Ford Transit Custom

It's important to note that this is front-wheel drive van and rides on what Ford considered light-duty chassis. The new Ford Transit that will be sold in the U.S. market will be rear-wheel drive, boasts a tougher platform, and may have a more daring style that may echo that of the F-Series truck line. Ford said that more commercial vehicles to be launched in the coming months, and said that in 2014, the entire range of commercial vehicle brand will have been refreshed.

2013 Ford Transit Custom
2013 Ford Transit Custom

About 40 percent of the new Transit Custom body made of high strength steel, which helps make the vehicle both lighter and stronger. As a result, Ford said the new van is 37 percent stiffer than before, which will improve handling and reduce interior noise. There will be two different wheelbases, with good overall vehicle length of 195.7 inches or 210.2 inches.

Smart concession to be used as a cargo van starts a pass-through in the bulkhead, so long pipes or ladders to take part in the passenger compartment. The new sliding door Ford Transit is claimed is greater than the competition, and that the interior space between the fender is wider than in any other cargo van. There will also be folding roof rack, which can be easily stored when not in use, more convenient cargo area tie-down hooks, and "easy clean" surface of the floor.

2013 Ford Transit Custom

Including improvements to driver comfort seats can be moved further to the rear, the new telescoping and tilting steering wheel, and Sync voice recognition software. Also new to Transit features such as backup camera, Lane Keeping Alert, and a feature that warns if it detects the driver's fatigue.

Power comes from Ford's 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine DuraTorq inline-four, with 98 hp, 123 hp and 153 hp flavors available. It's one most likely will be available in the United States-market Ford Transit; car maker has confirmed that the rear-wheel-drive Ford Transit we will show both an EcoBoost V-6 and diesel engines. European models also get the engine stop-start as standard.

Ford said that the service interval for the new Transit Custom is impressive for two years or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first. Van has undergone a rigorous testing regime that involves slamming the door 250,000 times and driving at least 250,000 miles. These standards are significantly more punishing than the test using a Ford with a regular passenger car.

As previously announced, Ford reminds us that the American version of the new Transit, which is a model of a heavier-duty with a rear-wheel-drive, will be introduced before the end of 2012. That version of the Ford Transit will be sold globally. As a direct replacement for the aging E-Series/Econoline van, Ford said the new Transit will be 300 pounds lighter and 25 percent more fuel efficient than the E-Series.

Outstanding driving dynamics and refinement
The Ford Tourneo Custom brings a new level of car-like driver appeal to its segment, with dynamics and performance which have been carefully tuned to reflect the same natural and easy-to-drive character which customers appreciate on Ford's car range.

Engineers have developed the new Ford global platform which underpins the Ford Tourneo Custom to make it much stiffer and stronger - increasing torsional stiffness by as much as 37 percent - benefitting both handling and noise levels.

Meticulous tuning of the suspension components and steering system has resulted in significantly improved ride comfort, along with more precise and agile handling. Like the new Ford Focus, the Tourneo Custom also features the latest Electronic Stability Program technology with Torque Vectoring Control for enhanced traction and stability.

The stiffer structure, together with a comprehensive effort to eliminate unwanted noise and vibrations throughout the vehicle, has resulted in a quieter environment for both the driver - with speech intelligibility improved by 9 percent within the front cabin - and the passengers travelling in the rear compartment.

Maximised occupant protection
To maximise occupant protection, the Ford Tourneo Custom features an optimised body structure which features ultra-high-strength Boron steel for the first time on a Tourneo model. In total, over 40 percent of the body is made from high-strength or ultra-high-strength steels, resulting in a strong and light body which is designed to offer high levels of crash protection.

The new vehicle also features an enhanced restraint system which provides curtain airbags as standard for the front seat occupants, together with driver and passenger airbags and seat-mounted side thorax airbags. As on Ford's latest passenger cars, a non-axial stroking steering column is also now fitted, to help reduce loads on the occupant's head and chest in the event of a high speed frontal impact.

The Ford Tourneo Custom is also the first new vehicle in its class to have been developed considering the latest Euro NCAP Protocol for pedestrian protection, which sets tough new standards for the assessment of pedestrian safety for heavy vehicles.

Exceptional fuel economy
The powertrain is an improved version of Ford's latest 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine which combines outstanding performance and refinement with exceptional fuel efficiency.

The Ford Tourneo Custom is available with three power ratings: 100 PS, 125 PS and 155 PS. Featuring a six-speed manual transmission and standard Auto-Start-Stop, the powertrain delivers class-leading fuel consumption of 6.5 l/100 km (43.5 mpg) and 172 g/km CO2 emissions.

For the new model, the engine has been further optimised to improve fuel economy, driveability and emissions. There is a completely new engine calibration to suit the unique characteristics of the vehicle, minimising fuel consumption and enhancing torque output and responsiveness.

The Ford Tourneo Custom has been engineered to deliver outstanding functionality, durability and low cost of ownership, including an economical two year/50,000 km (30,000 mile) service interval.

"We have combined car-like levels of performance, comfort and specification with enhanced practicality and reduced running costs," said Barry Gale, chief engineer, Ford of Europe. "This stylish vehicle with genuine ability will enhance Ford's reputation for long-term durability and value."

Production of the new Tourneo Custom will start from mid-2012 at Ford's plant in Kocaeli, Turkey, with market availability later in the year.

New Ford Tourneo Custom Offers Innovative Versatility and Stylish Interior
The versatile new Ford Tourneo Custom offers added appeal to both business and leisure customers with its innovative vehicle features and stylish interior design.
Buyers looking for a flexible people carrier will welcome innovations including the versatile new seating system and the integrated deployable roof rack, which allow the vehicle to be configured quickly and easily to suit the needs of every journey.

Both private customers and business buyers will also appreciate the quality of design and craftsmanship throughout the interior, which combines a car-like driving environment with a comfortable, fully-trimmed rear compartment which has the look and feel of a modern multi-person vehicle.

"The Tourneo Custom brings car-like style and sophistication to the people-mover segment," said Ulf Roentgen, Interior Design Manager, Ford of Europe. "With a flexible interior, executed in high-quality materials, the new model has a noticeably premium feel."

Imaginative rear seating design
The two rear-seating rows in the Ford Tourneo Custom use a completely new and imaginative design which enables the seats to be easily folded into multiple configurations and removed in segments or completely.

Each of the three-seat rows is configured as single and dual seat sections that can each fold separately, and are light enough to be easily removed. The folding mechanism allows the seat backs to fold flat, creating a work area or picnic tray, and then tumble forward completely, so they can be stored vertically, thus releasing extra floor space for luggage.

In total, the two rear seat rows can be adjusted into over 30 different permutations, enabling the rear compartment to be configured for each journey to suit any combination of passengers and luggage.

Customers are able to specific a recline feature for the rear seats and an armrest on the outer seats on the second row as options.
All seating positions provide integral 3-point lap and shoulder style seat belts, with a driver's seat belt minder fitted as standard. ISOFix child seat attachment points are available on the two inner seats on the second row and the centre seat on the third row, with top tether mounts for extra security.

Innovative roof rack system
The flexible load-carrying ability of the Ford Tourneo Custom is further enhanced by a unique new deployable roof rack system which is seamlessly integrated into the roof.

Available as an option, the system features three transverse roof bars which are located in recesses in the roof panel, and which can be deployed when required. The roof rack system is capable of carrying substantial loads of up to 130kg, making it suitable for a wide variety of business or leisure equipment.

When the roof rack is not in use, the cross bars can be quickly folded down, reducing drag and fuel consumption, creating a smarter appearance, and keeping the vehicle height under two metres for access through car park height restrictions.

For flexible access to the rear compartment, Ford Tourneo Custom models offer twin side sliding doors as standard, with running boards below the doors which provide improved low level step access. A hinged liftgate is fitted as standard at the rear.

Car-like interior with superior quality and craftsmanship
Within both the front and rear compartment, the Tourneo Custom brings a more premium, car-like appearance to the people-mover segment with an all-new interior constructed with high quality materials.

The interior design is stylish and modern, adopting the more expressive design language found in Ford's latest kinetic design passenger cars.

The front cabin has a car-like, driver-focused feel, with the characteristic sculpted shapes and bold graphics which are key elements of kinetic design. Features like the distinctive trapezoidal shapes of the instrument binnacle and the wing-like form of the instrument panel give the cockpit a unique and very contemporary appearance.

In the rear compartment, passengers enjoy a spacious environment and a comfortable, fully-trimmed cabin, with carpeted floors and stylish flush-fitted trim panels which are similar to those typically found in a modern multi-seat car. Other passenger car features, like side window blinds integrated into the door trim, are available as an option.

A choice of stylish, hard-wearing seat materials is available, with high-series models offering the option of full leather upholstery in an attractive medium stone colour, creating a highly luxurious ambience and enhancing the feeling of space and light.

To complement the more stylish design, the interior was developed with a rigorous focus on quality and craftsmanship, to ensure that the cabin materials combined typical Tourneo durability and toughness with a more premium, car-like appearance.

Throughout the cabin, the fit and finish of components has been significantly improved, with reduced tolerances and tighter radii. The choice and execution of materials follows the practices used on Ford's latest passenger cars, with distinctive accents used to highlight design details, yet offering good durability to withstand day-to-day usage.

An example of the superior material quality is found in the instrument panel, which uses a specially developed synthetic material with a soft feel and a sophisticated grain pattern designed to match the leather used in Ford's car lines. This material combines low gloss levels, creating a perception of softness, with outstanding durability and resistance to marking.
